HOW…

How God manifests long awaited dreams and persevered through promises, is up to Him.

 

There was a time, not so long ago, that I fretted and worried about How He would provide, manifest promises, and deliver on the dreams that He implanted in my heart. God’s process left me twisted, in every way.

 

Here’s what I learned about letting go of How God completes His work in our lives, and How I discovered freedom.

Three Essential Tools:

  1. Leaning into God, revealed that I was dealing with an issue that was rooted in unbelief. Point blank, I doubted God because I did not believe in His power and abilities. Going deeper, doubting God and questioning His ability are also a lack of Trust in Him. We cannot Trust God what we don’t believe in. Through prayer and revelation from the Holy Spirit I began addressing and working through my belief in God. I learned to believe in God by experiencing His love for me through Jesus.
  2. I learned to trust God by believing in His fidelity. I took a deep look into my past and was able to see God’s hand every step of the way. By witnessing His faithfulness I learned to trust Him.
  3. Leaning in to trusting Him allowed me to Surrender to the process.

  1. Good Morning Joan as I read your post on HOW , Psalms 37 came to mind
    “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.”

  2. Many times in my life and in my current season I have prayed for God to intervene and solve a problem that I’m struggling with, and God appears silent. God knows best even when we feel that God is not answering our prayers. Really, if we have a relationship with God we should not be worried about if God hears our prayers–He does and He knows all about what we are going thorough. What we should be concerned about is if because of hard times, trials and tribulations, we get discouraged, and give up on praying. God’s timetable is not the same as ours. He knows better than we do when the best time for our prayers to be answered. God is eternal and does not measure time the same way that we do. Also, For God to give us what we ask for, we must ask according to His will (1 John 5:14). God is not going to give us anything asked outside of His will. If God answer is “wait” then must be willing to be patient and trust God to answer in His own way and in His timing.

    1. Thank for stopping by and speaking truth, Kim. One thing that has been very helpful to me is to wrap God’s Word around the promises He has given to me. In doing so, I am certain that what I am asking for is in His will, not my way. It’s a matter of timing. And when the wait has been long, according to my fallible calendar, wait has become weighted disappointment.

      At the beginning of the year, after experiencing deep disappoint in a specific request to God not being answered at the time I requested, this is what I learned about hope…Hope is not in the answer, it’s in the One who gave the promise. And because God is faithful what He has promised will be manifested. So, hope is not deferred by God, and it’s not a denial from Him, it means that answer is coming on a different day, the best day.       1. God is faithful if He made you a promise He will fulfill it. The Bible is full of promises and the Word of God lets us know that He is faithful.

        When things get rough, it can be easy to focus on our hardships. I want to encourage you with 2 Samuel 7:28. Hold on to the promise that God is with you in your situation (Isaiah 40:31).
